Northern Arizona University

Master of Arts in Sustainable Communities The SUS program at NAU is designed for those who seek a broad and integrated perspective on the complex issues of contemporary society. Begun in 1996 as the Master of Liberal Studies (MLS) program, it was one of the first of its kind to organize the broad field of liberal studies around issues of sustainability and community life.

Center for Sustainable Environments CSE combines the expertise of scientists, educators, independent scholars, business leaders, government agencies, nonprofits, students, and community members. Its goal is to seek creative solutions to environmental problems through initiatives that safeguard natural and cultural values and resources.

Prescott College

Prescott College’s Environmental Studies Program focuses on agroecology, conservation biology, earth science, ecological design, environmental education, environmental policy, human ecology, marine studies and natural history and ecology.

Coconino Community College

Coconino Community College has offers courses and certificates in sustainable technology, alternative energy, permaculture, beekeeping, gardening, and passive solar greenhouse design.

ECOSA Institute, Prescott, Arizona

ECOSA offers educational programs in sustainable, ecological, and regenerative design.
